Patricia Rita McNamara

Patricia Rita McNamara, age 76, of Scituate, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was raised in Mansfield, Massachusetts and lived in Scituate, Massachusetts for over 40 years. A loving mother of Lisa (Falciani) Thomas and her husband Scott and Rob Falciani and his wife Sara. An adoring Grammy to Kyle and Matthew Thomas.

Patricia was born on June 3, 1947, in Boston, and spent her childhood growing up in Mansfield. Her parents, Paul McNamara and Fannie Petrillo, had three children: Patricia, Kathy, and Paul. Patricia’s bond with her younger siblings was an unbreakable friendship that was nurtured from the earliest days of their childhood through adulthood. After losing her brother and sister too early in life, she kept their spirit alive by sharing her memories and stories with family and friends. Everyone knew how much Kathy and Paul meant to Patricia, they were her world for decades.

Patricia had a remarkable career that spanned over 25 years at an architecture firm in Boston. As an executive assistant, Patricia became an indispensable part of the firm, revered for her organizational skills and her professional acumen, it was her innate ability to forge genuine connections and friendships. Patricia's warmth and sincerity made her a beloved figure within the company, creating relationships that endured even into her retirement years.

Upon retiring in 2013, Patricia embraced a new chapter of her life that not only kept her close to her daughter but also allowed her to spend quality time with her two grandchildren, Kyle and Matthew. Seeing her two grandchildren grow up, experiencing life, and becoming amazing young men, provided Patricia with a tremendous sense of joy and pride. In a delightful twist, despite not being the biggest dog lover initially, Patricia's heart was won over by the canine companions of her son and daughter.

Her home reflected her life passions—a nod to history, Paris, music, and sports. Her love for these subjects, and the joy she found in them, will forever remain a part of us, inspiring us to see the world through her eyes.
