Surrounded by love, Paul Michael MacDonald, 82, went to be with our Lord on August 1, 2023. The love of his life, Natalie (Kane) with whom he celebrated 57 years of marriage on July 30, 2023, and his four daughters were by his side.
Born to Norman J. and Mary B. MacDonald on November 20, 1940, He was nine out of ten children and attended Boston College High School and Wentworth Institute of Technology. He enlisted in the US Navy as a Seabee from 1962–1966 and was stationed at Guantanamo Bay. Paul helped to build the bunkers during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He and Natalie were married on July 30, 1966.
Together he and Natalie lovingly raised four daughters, Denise Stanley and her husband James, Marlene Ketchen and her fiancé Michael Tracy, Nathalie Weis and her husband Jeremy and Kristin Edwards and her husband Donald. He was the loving and devoted Papa to Christian, Marlee, Allison and David Stanley, William and Faith Ketchen and Samuel, Iris and Nathalie Weis. Paul is also survived by his brother, Edward MacDonald of NH and FL., many nieces, nephews and friends. He made friends with everyone he met. He lived an amazing life.
We would also like to thank Norwell Visiting Nurses Association, and especially Rebecca Primmer, who is an Angel on earth.
In his honor, we ask that when you see a US Veteran, please thank them for their service. People would approach dad to thank him, and it meant so much to him. He loved this country and was proud to be a Seabee – CAN DO!
A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 6, 2023 from 3-7 PM at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate.
