

Devoted husband of ten years to Barbara (Perkins.) Pre-deceased by his first wife of 43 years, Phyllis (German.)
Dad leaves five children: Wayne and his wife, Sally Salyers of Palatka, FL; Stephen and his wife, Ruth of San Clemente, CA; Gail and her husband, Brett Jardim of Scituate, Ellen and her partner, Andrew Wiseman of White River Junction, VT; and Laurie and her husband, Carl Pedersen of Thetford, VT.
Papa to Peter, Nicholas, Andrew and Brandi, and one great-grandson.
Brother to: Edward and his wife, Libba, Alan and his wife, Bette, and the late Marilyn Skantz. Brother-in-law to Robert German and his wife, Josephine. Uncle Dick to many nieces and nephews. He leaves Barbara's two children and sister.
Veteran of the Korean War.
Richard spent most of his career as an engineer at the Quincy Shipyard, where he worked for 38 years. He was a talented woodworker who designed and built many projects.
Richard enjoyed traveling to Nova Scotia, the ancestral home of Phyllis' family. In more recent years, he continued trips there with Barbara where they made many lasting Acadian friendships.
Richard had a dry sense of humor that will be missed.
His children would like to sincerely thank Barbara for her love, devotion and wonderful care during these last few years, which enabled Dick to remain at the home he loved so much.
Services will be private.
