My deepest condolences to Ruth and Lori on the loss of Bob, their husband and father.
I am so glad I had the pleasure of knowing Bob for many years. He was always warm and welcoming whenever we got together either in Los Angeles, San Francisco or Boston. I learned a lot from Bob over the years and he was helpful in teaching me about the importance of planning for my financial future. I am grateful to him for that and his friendship.
Bob was the quintessential gentleman and gracious host and a true role model. He will be missed. Ruth and Lori are in my thoughts and prayers.

My sympathy and prayers are extended to the Gibbons family upon the sad passing of a strong member of the Boston investment community. Bob was a solid , sound investor, a guiding mentor, and liked and admired by all. I had the good fortune to be hired by Bob at the Parker Corp. prior to its' acquisition by Putnam Mgt. Co. as an analyst for Incorporated Investors. It was a small but great place to work back in the 60's and Bob was the centerpiece of the portfolio and research efforts. Great days, good memories . Thank you, Bob and may you rest in peace. Time is taking so many of us nowadays and that formerly big roster is shrinking all the time. I have great memories of the hundreds of people I knew in Boston and elsewhere from a lifetime career after my days at Parker. God bless him!

I have fond memories of Bob years ago when I worked for him at Foster, Dykema, Cabot. Bob was a great mentor and teacher. I still have Christmas ornaments that Bob and Kay gave me as an engagement gift so I think if them each year that they hang on the tree. My condolences to the family.
