Rose Marie DiNardo Skillman

SKILLMAN, Rose Marie (DiNardo), of Scituate, passed away on May 25, 2011, at the age of 81. Loving wife of 53 years to Harry E. Skillman. Devoted mother of William T. Skillman of Houston, TX, Douglas E. Skillman of Lutz, FL and Pamela M. Norton of Scituate. Sister of Eleanor Degnan of Chesapeake, VA and James J. DiNardo of Virginia Beach, VA. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Rose Marie was born in Kearny, NJ, the daughter of the late James J. DiNardo and Sabina (Centrella) DiNardo and resided in Harrison, NJ. She attended Seton Hall University and was employed by The Prudential Ins. Co. prior to her marriage. She and her husband lived in Harrison and Somerville, NJ prior to their move to Scituate, MA in 1973.

Mrs. Skillman was a member of St. Francis Xavier Cabrini in Scituate and recently of St. Anthony’s Church in Cohasset. She was a long-time member of the Scituate Health Service.

Friends and family are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, May 30th from 4PM-7PM in the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd., Scituate. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 31st in St. Anthony’s Church, Cohasset at 10AM. Interment to be private.
