

Alice L. Harris, 95, of Scottsbluff, died peacefully on Friday, Sept. 26th in Loveland, CO. She had been a resident of the Scottsbluff area for over 93 years prior to moving to Colorado, in June of 2013.
Alice’s service will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, Sept 30, at Central Church of Christ in Gering, with Pastor Lyle Hinebauch officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church beginning 2 hours prior to services. Memorials are suggested to Central Church of Christ in Gering, or the donor’s favorite charity. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.dugankramer.com. Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Alice was born on July 20, 1919 in Scottsbluff, NE to Arthur P. and Anna M. (Roberts) Bressler of Gering. She attended Gering Public Schools, graduating from Gering H.S. in 1937. She married Bill W. Harris of Mitchell, on May 9, 1942 in Inglewood, CA while he was serving in the military. Bill preceded her in death on February 19, 2008.
Alice was a homemaker and mother of 5 children. She had been a member of the Central Church of Christ in Gering since the age of 7, where she had taught 2nd grade Sunday school, and served as the church organist for numerous years.
Alice was preceded in death by Parents, a brother Donald Curtis Bressler, and her sister, Ruth Amthor.
Survivors include: 3 daughters, Judy Kuntz of Naperville, IL, Vicky Harris of Berthoud, CO, Cheryl Murdock of Pensacola, FL; 2 sons, Rob of Denver, CO, and Greg of Lubbock, TX; 9 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
