Audrey Ellen Blackburn

Audrey Ellen Blackburn, 76, of Gering, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, May 18, 2006 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2006 at the First Christian Church in Scottsbluff with Pastor Michael Stein officiating. Interment will be in the Mitchell City Cemetery. Friends may call at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel between 2-6:00 p.m. Saturday and from 1-6:00 p.m. Sunday. Audrey was born August 25, 1929 in Scottsbluff, to Hallie H. and Vera Louise (Vetan) Todd. She graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1947. She married Donald Blackburn February 10, 1949, in Scottsbluff. She and Don farmed in the area for several years. She was also employed at the Panhandle Coop Office for 21 years. Audrey was a member of the First Christian Church of Scottsbluff where she was baptized and married, and was a former member of the Federated Church in Mitchell. She is survived by her dear friend: Robert Frey of Mitchell, NE; daughters: Kerry (Bill) Kay Planer of Elizabeth, CO, Shelley (Dave) Knutson, Mitchell, NE and son: Rory (Suzanne) Blackburn of San Antonio, TX; brothers: Joe (Maxine) Todd of Phoenix, AZ and Bud (Barbara) Todd of San Clemente, CA; Grandchildren: Cody Painter, Kresta Painter, Scott Planer Tawney Seibert, Ryan Knutson, Radd, Jenna and Kelsie Blackburn; great grandchildren: Kyler & Keala Painter, Landon and Lily Seibert and Canden and Brock Knutson. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and daughter-in-law: Michelle Dickens Blackburn.
