

Betty Jane Rose, 85, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior after courageously battling with severe infirmities, Sunday, August 21, 2011 at her home in Spring Valley, AZ. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel with Pastor Willie Coop officiating. Interment will follow at Creighton Valley Cemetery with Pastor Mark F. Bollacker and Dr. Julie M. Keith officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the family in care of Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel. Arrangements were entrusted to Heritage Memory Mortuary, Prescott, AZ and Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff, NE. Betty was born October 28, 1925 in Bridgeport, NE to Franklin “Frank” James and Dessa Mae (Kern) Ellard. Betty was a longtime resident of Scottsbluff before locating to the greater Prescott, AZ area with her son, Gary, 11 years ago. She had retired from Montgomery Wards, helped manage the Capri Motel, had been a teacher, nanny, as well as assisting her son. Betty was a member of the Westway Church and enjoyed helping out the ladies; in retreats, kitchen, and ladies circle, when she was physically able and was active in the V.A. Auxilliary. She enjoyed crocheting, and had many a friend with her warm heart. She will be most remembered for her quiet demeanor, never having a harsh word to say, funny sense of humor, infectious laugh, and placing the needs of others before her very own. A heart of a servant to say the least, her passion was crocheting, gardening and felt her greatest contribution in life was raising her family. Her giving spirit will be missed. Betty is survived by her loving son, Gary, of Prescott, AZ; daughter Norma (Mark) Bollacker of San Bernardino, CA; brother Leonard “Rod” Ellard, two grandchildren, Julie (Jeff) Keith, Riverside, CA and John (Karla) Bollacker, Lake Elsinore, CA; four great-grandchildren, Josiah, Gavin & Evan Bollacker, and Dade Keith. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William “Bill” Rose; sisters, Violet Snyder and Dorothy Popp; and brother Richard Ellard.
