

Beverly June Jordan, age 76, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, died April 13, 2011, at her home, with her husband and children at her bedside, following a battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 18, 2011, at First United Methodist Church in Scottsbluff with Rev. Matt Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Friends may visit from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff. Memorials have been established to First United Methodist Church of Scottsbluff and Buckboard Therapeutic Riding Academy for Disabled Children. Beverly was born on December 18, 1934, in North Platte, Nebraska to Fred and Thelma Mogensen. Beverly received her early education at Scottsbluff schools and graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1952. She attended Scottsbluff Junior College. She married Ronald S. Jordan, on November 19, 1954, at First United Methodist church in Scottsbluff. They spent the first four years of their marriage in California while Ronald served with the United States Air Force. After Ronald completed his service they lived in Ellsworth, Maine for two years. In late 1959, they moved to Scottsbluff where they have resided ever since. Beverly served as office manager for the University of Nebraska Panhandle Research and Extension Center for over 25 years. She was a member of Christian Women’s Club. Survivors include her husband, Ronald; daughter, Kathy Hericks and husband Tom, and son Jeff Jordan; her grandchildren include: Cameron Scott Snell and his wife Brianne, Brandon James Staman, Trevor Lee Staman, John Thomas Hericks, and Gavin Ronald Jordan; great-grandchildren include: Peyton Thomas Snell and Emma Camryn Snell; sisters, Doris Foote and husband Duane, Shirley Pollet and husband Gale. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Thelma Mogensen. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Prairie Haven Hospice, Joe Jeter, PAC and Vincent Bjorling, MD.
