

Keith Bradly “Brad” Cross, age 60, of Harrisburg, died Wednesday, August 5, 2015 in Banner County. Visitation will be from 1-7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff. The casket will be closed for the funeral services. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday August 10th at Banner County High School in Harrisburg with Ken Boston officiating. Burial will be at Gabe Rock Cemetery, 7 miles west of Harrisburg. A memorial has been established to the Brad Cross Memorial. Brad was born May 4, 1955 in Scottsbluff NE to Keith and Barbara June (Nicodemus) Cross and received his early education in the Banner County Schools, graduating from Melbeta High School in 1973.
He married Barbara S. Smith on March 19, 1976 at United Methodist Church in Mitchell NE. He made his home for nearly 40 years in Banner County.
Brad was a member of the Banner County School Board for 16 years, Banner County Volunteer Fire Department, Banner County Jaycees, National Pony Express Association since 1988, Cheyenne Parades and Rodeo Grand Entries for over 30 years, AQHA member and 4-H Horse Leader.
Brad is survived by his wife Barb; son Seth (Karla) Cross of Lincoln NE; daughters Kelly (David) Mowers of Englewood, CO, Holly (Bo) Riechenberg of Sutherland; grandchildren (the light of his life) Wyatt, Wilbur, Timmy and Brody; mother Barbara J Cross of Harrisburg; sister Bernadette Cross of Harrisburg; brothers Faron (Wanda) Cross of Harrison NE, Adam “Hoss” (Teresa) Cross of Lyman NE, Ben (Leslie) Cross of Mitchell; father/mother-in-law Robert and Virginia Smith of Bridgeport; brothers-in-law Clint (Jeri) Smith of Westminster, CO, Marty Smith of Lakewood, CO, Mike (Lisa) Smith of Bridgeport; numerous nieces and nephews who were so dear to him and too many friends to count.
He was preceded in death by his father, Keith Cross; grandparents Ben and Alice Cross, Fred and Pauline Nicodemus.
As you all know…Brad never met a stranger. He was a loving Father, husband, “Papa” and Uncle. He will be escorted to the gravesite as he lived…with the pallbearers riding horseback in front of a horse drawn Hearse using his team (King and Queen) of Haflingers. His favorite horse Coyote will follow behind.
