

Daurine M. Baker, 88 of Scottsbluff, Nebraska died Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at the Western Nebraska Veterans Home. Her funeral services will be held Monday, September 17, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel with Pastor Herb Rainey officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Daurine was born on August 12, 1919 in Red Oak, Iowa, the daughter of Hugh and Era (Rollins) Watson. She attended school in Broadwater. She was united in marriage to Joseph O. Baker on October 22, 1938 in Seward, Nebraska and to this union three children were born Janice, Joyce and Larry. They established Wholesale Motive Service in Scottsbluff in 1948. She was active in Does and Jaycettes. She enjoyed bowling, crafts and flowers. She was a member of the Iris Society. Daurine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her daughter Joyce and husband Al Fabricus of Scottsbluff; son Larry and wife Della Baker of Melbeta; son-in-law Royce Belden of Loveland, CO.; grandchildren Marcy (Brent) Jorgensen of Dawson, NE., Debbie (Bob) Buchanan of Loveland, CO., Rory Brehmer of Denver, CO., Scott (Kay) Fabricus of Riverton, WY., Bill Baker of Provo, SD., Kevin (Karen) Lojka of Gering, Jodie (Jim) Woods of New Jersey, Holly(Chuck) Woodruff of Gering and M’chellin Osborn of Fishers, Indiana; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers Lyndall (Jean) Watson of Ashland, NE. and Bob (Shirley) Watson of Renton, WA.; sister Marilyn (Paul) Beal of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Janice, husband Joseph, brother Charles Watson and sister Elora Morris.
