Dennis Ray Mead

Dennis Ray Mead, 50, of Gering, passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 10 AM on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Center Cross Community Church with Pastor Gary Hashley officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Gering. Dennis was born November 7, 1967 at Sioux City, Iowa to Larry and Bonnie (Wilson) Mead. He received his education in Gering, graduating from Gering High School. Dennis was united in marriage to Dee Dee Thompson on Oct. 17, 2009 at Center Cross Community Church. The couple made their home in Gering. Dennis most recently worked at Dale’s Tire.

Dennis is survived by his wife Dee Dee; children Makayla Mead, Audree Mead, Christopher Mead, Dameon Nelson, Shawn (Jamie) Nelson, and Camber (Doug) Reed; brothers Mike (Laurel) Mead, David (Jennifer) Mead, and Jim (Laura) Mead; sister-in-law Joy Skinner; father-in-law and mother-in-law Doyle and Peggy Thompson; brother-in-law Michael (Candy) Thompson; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Pastor Larry and Bonnie Mead, infant sister Cindy, and his grandparents.
