

Dr. Mary Beth Brown, 55, of Scottsbluff, died Sunday, July 30, 2006, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. A funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 3, 2006, at Calvary Memorial Evangelical Free Church in Gering with Pastors Ken Boston and Dr. Charles Bonds officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff. Friends may visit from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, at the Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff. Mary was born July 16, 1951, at Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Bill and Maxine (Siebenaler) Brown. She was raised on a farm in Banner County. She graduated from Banner County High School in 1969 and went on to get her Bachelor’s Degree from Kearney State College. She taught the 6th grade for many years. She received her Master’s Degree from Chadron State College. During the summers while still teaching in Gering, she spent several summers at the University of Nebraska to get her doctorate in administration. In 1994, she moved to Rawlins, Wyoming. She was principal of one of Carbon County’s elementary schools. She later moved to Riverton to work for the State of Wyoming. In September 2005, she moved back to Scottsbluff. Mary enjoyed traveling and doing things with her family. Her niece, Carmen was a very special part of her life. She is survived by her parents, Bill and Maxine Brown of Banner County; brothers, Tom Brown of Johnson, Kansas, Mike Brown of Scottsbluff, and Robin (Tammy) Brown of Banner County; and niece, Carmen.
