Her graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 a0t 2:00 p.m. at Bayard Cemetery in Bayard, Nebraska. Visitation will be Friday from 1-7 pm at Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff with family present from 2-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Donor’s Choice. Eleanor was born on December 21, 1931 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Jacob and Eva Marie (Keller) Becking. She received her education in the rural Bridgeport School. She was united in marriage to Clarence Betz on September 25, 1955 in Scottsbluff. They made their home on a farm near Bayard. They moved to Gering in 2005.
Eleanor enjoyed gardening, cake decorating, making pies and cooking.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years Clarence Betz; sister Emma Rider of Ft. Morgan, Colorado and numerous nieces and nephews.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Jake and Albert Becking and sisters Marie Martin and Esther Schanhols.
