Elnora Helen Huber

May 26, 1924- December 16, 2016

Elnora Helen Huber, 92, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska passed peacefully through death into eternal life December 16, 2016 at the Residency Care Center. Her funeral service will be held at 1:30pm on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Salem Congregational Church with Pastor Dale Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 1:30pm on Tuesday at Salem Congregational Church. Memorials may be given to Salem Congregational Church. Elnora was born May 26, 1924 at Bayard, Nebraska to Henry and Catherine Bauer. She received her education through Minatare Public Schools. She met the love of her life, Henry Huber, and they married on January 12, 1941 in Harrisburg, Nebraska. They made their home in Scottsbluff, where they shared 68 years of marriage. To this union, three children we born: Carol, Henry, and Gary.

Family and friends were Elnora’s passion. Elnora enjoyed caring for her children, sewing, cooking, baking and gardening. Her friends and family have been blessed with many beautiful quilts handmade with love. She was a hard-working woman who deeply loved her family and taught them many life lessons. Dedicated to her faith and church, Elnora was a lifelong member of Salem Congregational Church. She was an active member of Reach Out Group #2.

Elnora was the matriarch of her family and words cannot express how much she will be missed.

Elnora is survived by her children: Carol (Marv) Rogers of Scottsbluff; Henry (Susan) Huber of Scottsbluff; Gary (Susie) Huber of Johnson Lake, Nebraska; sisters: Alvina Lehl of Alliance and Hermina (Robert) Meyer of Portland, Oregon; grandchildren: Jay (Georgene) Rogers of Scottsbluff; Jill (Tony) Williams of Phoenix, Arizona; Sarah (Adam) Rayl of Midvale, Utah; Dr. Rebekah Huber and husband William Huff of Salt Lake City, Utah; seven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Kenneth and Richard, her sisters Virginia and Neva, her husband Henry, and grandson Henry Jason Huber.
