Eric John Melvin Lashley

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 1:00 pm at the Eagles Club, 1520 W 3rd St, Alliance, NE. A private family interment will be held at a later date. At his request cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be sent to Consumers Cooperative Federal Credit Union 1301 W 3rd St., PO Box 836, Alliance, NE 69301 where an account has been established for his son, Remington. Eric was born on May 9, 1974, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to John M and Joan (Hauke) Lashley. He obtained his early education at Bridgeport, Nebraska and graduated from Banner County High School with the class of 1992. He later graduated from Southeast Community College in 1994 with a degree in diesel technology.

Eric married his true love, Codi Roberts on December 13, 2014, in Las Vegas, Nevada and they made their home in Alliance, Nebraska.

Eric was a long time truck driver and enjoyed the open road, making friends wherever he would go. He had several people in his trucking community who he considered brothers.

Although he didn’t get to do it as often as he liked, Eric loved hunting, 4-wheeling and farming and was a member of the Bean Board for many years. He treasured spending time with his family and friends. He was a true Patriot with a fierce love of Country and believed strongly in individual rights.

Survivors include his wife Codi Lashley and son Remington; parents John and Joan Lashley; siblings Stacy (Dan) Seier and their children Bryce, Conrad, Rachelle and Evan Seier; Shawn Lashley and his children Samantha, Andrea, Cassie, and Tyler Lashley; Heather (Zach) Adams and their children Audrey, Barry, and Bridget Adams; mother-in-law Susan Roberts; sisters-in-law Teresa (Tracy) Jones and their children Madison, Zeb and Gabe and Cassie (Justen) West and their children Anya and Brendan as well as several great nieces and nephews and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles. Erics other children TJ, Christina, Casey and stepchildren Kristina and Cody were also very much loved by him.

Eric was preceded in death by his Paternal and Maternal grandparents, special great aunt Alta Lewis; grandmother-in-law Vera Jean Koch; and father-in-law William Roberts.

Eric was a good man and his laughter and presence will be missed by all that knew him.
