Helen Carol Byram

Helen Carol (Roberts) Byram, 87 died January 1, 2026 at Life Care Center of Cheyenne. Helen was born on May 24, 1938, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to James and Etta Mae Roberts. Helen was the middle of three children.

Helen graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 19566. She went on to work for Vic Asmus Real Estate. From there, she went to work for Great Western Sugar, retiring in 2002. After retirement, she went over the road trucking with the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Byram, whom she married November 29, 1992.

Helen enjoyed spending time with her many nieces and nephews. She loved to sew and spent countless hours in her flower garden. She spent her days doting on her furry companion, Pearl.

She is survived by her nieces, Cynthia (Dave) Shapiro of Prescott Valley, AZ, Doloris (Paul) Robirds of Hillsdale, WY and Tami Smith of Fresno, CA and nephews Jeffrey (Ronda) Dierks of Hillsdale, WY and Tim (Kim) Smith of Grands Pass, OR; 9 great nieces and nephews, 10 great great nieces and nephews and 1 great great great niece.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob), of 11 years, parents, James and Etta Mae Roberts, sisters Linda Martin and Shirley Dierks and one great niece.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 11:30 am at Fairview Cemetery. No visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the First Baptist Church of Scottsbluff, NE 3009 Ave I, Scottsbluff, NE 69361.
