

Henry “Butch” McCarty, 67, formerly of Minatare, died Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, June 27th, 2016 at East Lawn Cemetery in Minatare with Randy Kreiling officiating.

Butch was born on March 22, 1949 at Wheatland, Wyoming to Clyde and Irene (Britthouer) McCarty. He was the oldest of eleven children and lived in McGrew for a few years, before moving to Minatare, where he went to school and graduated from Minatare High School in 1968.
After school, Butch went to work for Chester B. Brown Bean Company for over 20 years before retiring. He then delivered newspapers for the Star Herald in Minatare for many years.
Butch enjoyed spending time with his family, being outdoors, BBQ’s, fishing, watching Western movies and reading Western books. He was an avid coin collector for many years and enjoyed closely looking over each one. He had an easy going personality and loved life. He always had a good sense of humor. Everyone that met Butch enjoyed him and found him to be a very loving and giving person.
Butch is survived by his brother Roy (Roxann) McCarty of Bridgeport; Sister Rosetta McCarty of Henry; Uncle Albert Britthouer of Cheyenne Wyo.; nieces and nephews: Eric (Lyndsy) McCarty of Gering, Britni (David) McCarty of Bridgeport, Jennifer (Mike) Onstott of Terrytown, Justin (Staci) McCarty of Henry, and Chad (Tabitha) McCarty of Omaha and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, paternal and maternal grandparents, siblings: Gary, Robert, Mike, Gloria, Nancy, Clyde Jr, Donna, Delores and great-niece Emily Onstott.
