

Henry L. Olsen, 90 of Harrisburg, Nebraska died Thursday, November 1, 2007 at Regional West Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 5, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Redington Cemetery. Masonic rites will be by the Camp Clark Masonic Lodge # 285, Bridgeport. Military Honors by the Nebraska National Guard. Visitation will be Monday from noon until service at the chapel. Henry was born on May 12, 1917 in Banner County to Albert and Doris (Spece) Olsen. He attended school in Banner County and Colorado. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1941 and served during WWII. He was honorably discharged. He married Mabel “Mae” C. Watson on September 20, 1943 in Crown Point, Ind. He purchased a ranch in 1958, where he farmed and ranched and has lived in Banner County for over 44 years. Henry was a member of the Banner County Museum Board (Secretary and Treasurer) for 30 years, Weed Board (Secretary and Treasurer) for 15 years, Banner County Bank Board of Directors for 20 years, ASC Commission for 30 years and their office committee for 12 years, Grasshopper Board (Secretary and Treasurer) for 10 years, he was a mason for 52 years and a volunteer fireman in Banner County for 5 years. Survivors include his sister, Mary Margaret Lewis of Mineola, Texas, sister, Lois Stanfield of Hallsville, Texas, brother, William “Bill” Olsen of Banner County, sister, Reva Spiller of Kingsland, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mabel “Mae”, brothers Robert, Marvin, Sidney and Bert and sister, Georgie Ebertson.
