

Jack R. Edwards, 84, of Sinclair, Wyoming, died Sunday, January 6, 2008, at Heritage Estates in Gering. A Masonic service will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 11, 2008, at Rawlins Masonic Lodge No. 5, AF & AM in Rawlins, Wyoming. Cremation was at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory in Scottsbluff. Jack Richard Edwards was born June 18, 1923, at Medicine Bow, Wyoming to Errol William and Lula Lina (Oja) Edwards. He grew up and attended schools at Medicine Bow. He served in the United States Navy during World War II from July 26, 1943 to January 21, 1946. He married Lila Lorraine Larsen on July 18, 1943, at San Diego, California. He worked at Sinclair Oil Refinery at Sinclair, Wyoming in various positions for 50 years. He was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge and was Master Mason twice, AA, and CCC’s. He enjoyed hiking, fly fishing, family and friends, welding, woodworking, telling a good joke and popsicles. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Lila; sons, Brett V. (Jan) Edwards of Thornton, Colorado; and Richard K. (Bonnie) Edwards of Rawlins, Wyoming; daughter, Teresa J. (Pat) Logan of Scottsbluff; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nephews, including John (Kay) Malone of Grand Junction, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Shirley and Alice Lorraine; and grandson, Mark. Memorials have been established to Alzheimer’s Foundation and Shriner’s Hospitals for Children.
