

Jason K. Vesper, 40 of Scottsbluff, Nebraska died Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at Regional West Medical Center. His memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel with Pastor Brad Gustafson officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery. Cremation was held at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory. Jason was born on April 3, 1967 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. He graduated from Loveland High School in Loveland, CO in 1985, where he carried a 4.0 grade point average and was a member of the National Honor Society for 4 years. Jason was a 4 year member of the golf team. He was awarded a full scholarship for academic and golf to Louisiana State University. He was then offered the Head Pro position at Oro Valley Country Club and Resort in Tucson, AZ. He then moved to Scottsbluff, NE. and married Debbie Low on August 18, 1989 and to this union two children were born, Joshua and Danielle. He went to work for Marv Zeigler and Z & M Lumber in 1989. and when the business was sold to UBC, he continued and was made manager of the business. Later, he returned to Z & M Lumber when UBC closed as Head of Contractor Services and Sales Representative. He was part of a big family in the building industry. He was a top notch salesman, hard worker and very respected in the building business. Jason’s first love was his wife and children followed by being an avid sports fan. He was a big fan of the Denver Broncos and Arizona Wildcats. His passion was golf and one of his favorite pass times was play with his father Rusty and brother Jon. They had a competitive spirit and true love of the sport. Jason also had an excellent sense of humor and could make everyone laugh with his strong wit. Survivors include his wife, Debbie; son, Joshua, daughter, Danielle; parents Jack Hall of Lyman and Tom and Dorothy Warthen of Scottsbluff; grandmother, Hilda Cline of Scottsbluff; sister, Kim Ott of Gering, niece Jessica and nephew Aaron; sister, Ronda Argueta (Jamie), niece, Melissa of Tucson, AZ; brother, Jon Vesper (Joanie), nephews Chance and Preston of Palm Springs, CA; sister, Holly Kopeikin (Nick) and nephews Taylor and Rusty of Great Falls, MT; sister-in-law Jamie Warthen and niece Lilly of Scottsbluff; uncles Larry Kilthau (Barb) and Jerry Kilthau (Jeanie) of Scottsbluff and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Mary Kilthau and parents Rusty and Evie Vesper.
