Jeri Louise Bacon

Jeri was born November 10, 1966, in Alliance, Nebraska to Dick and Betty Bacon. She was known for her infectious smile, heart of gold, and the genuine kindness she shared with everyone she met. Jeri’s strong faith guided her life and shaped the compassion she showed others.

She was blessed with many friendships and cherished relationships she built over the years. One of her greatest joys was serving as a foster grandparent, a role she embraced wholeheartedly, sharing love, encouragement, and warmth with the children whose lives she touched.

Jeri is survived by her brother, John Bacon and his wife, Patti; her sister Jan Merrick and husband Todd Merrick; her special boyfriend, Dave Else; aunts Mary Minich and Doris Briggs; uncle Neil Petersen; multiple nieces and nephews; many cousins; extended family, friends, lifelong BFF Gwen Johannes and her dog Shadow “Baby Girl.”

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Dick and Betty Bacon; her grandparents, George and Helen Bacon and Oletha and Hubert Luellen, grandfather Wes Anderson; her sister Deborah Jo; her aunt Darlene Peterson, uncles Dwight Briggs and Ken Minich.

Jeri will be lovingly remembered for her strong faith, smile, generous spirit and the love she freely gave. Her memory will live on in the many lives she has touched.

Burial will be in the Hemingford Cemetery with a Memorial Service will be Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 1PM at the Elks Lodge in Scottsbluff.
