John Longoria Jr.

John Longoria, Jr., 56, of Scottsbluff, died April 24, 2007 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. A Funeral Mass will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2007 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Scottsbluff with Fr. Phil Flott officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. A rosary will be recited 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 26, 2007 at the church. Memorials have been established to the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church or to the American Diabetes Association. Friends may call at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel between 9:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. until noon Friday. John was born October 20, 1950 in Scottsbluff, NE to John and Rachel (Quevedo) Longoria, Sr. He grew up and attended school in Scottsbluff and married Delores Guzman December 4, 1971 in Minatare, NE. John was employed by the Lockwood Corporation for over twenty-five years. John was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He loved to read, listen to music, watch Bronco and Husker football and spending time with his grandchildren. John is survived by his wife Delores, daughter: Dr.Tara Ann Longoria and her husband Stephen Klaas of Scottsbluff, son: Jonas Isaac Longoria, J.D. and his wife Alicia of Gering; Brothers: Cruz (Teresa) Longoria, Westminster, CO, Steve (Carmen) Longoria, Morrill, NE, Michael Longoria and Anthony (Mary) Longoria both of Scottsbluff; sisters: Monica Longoria of Gering, Mary Ann (Anthony) Quijas of Scottsbluff, and Agnes Longoria of Gering; grandchildren: Alexa, Noah and Isabella Longoria all of Gering. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Edwin Longoria, sister Christina Martinez and infant daughter Caroline Rachel Longoria.
