J.R. was born August 15, 1980 in Helena Montana to Deborah (Alberts) Barnes and Joseph Beeler.
He spent his early years in rural Kansas where he attended elementary school, and it was there that J.R. learned to love things like rodeo; country music; hunting; fishing; and pickup trucks. J.R. later moved with his family to Colorado where he continued schooling in Crowley County, Canon City,
and finishing in Loveland.
J.R. had many talents and attributes. The two most prevalent were his huge heart and his silly grin. He would do anything he could to help the next guy, or girl, out whether it be family, friend, foe, or stranger.
J.R. loved life. He loved spending time with his girls, his family and friends, and Sundays during football season with the Denver Broncos! (on t.v.)
J.R. shared his love of the Broncos and the game of football with anyone who would listen. Over the years, this would turn out to become a feisty
but friendly weekend rivalry between J.R. and brother Jamie who is a Pittsburg Steelers fan. It never stopped J.R. from looking up to and admiring his
older brother though. J.R. did pass his passion for the Broncos and football on to his nephew Lane whom he would mentor and toss the ball with when he was home.
J.R. could dance the lines off a rug and shared that and singing with his sister Joni who was his favorite dance partner and biggest supporter.
J.R. is survived by three daughters, Peyton Beeler of Mitchell, NE; Jamie Kay Beeler of Denver, CO; and Courtney Martinez of Evans, CO. His parents Deborah (Rodney) Barnes of Shattuck, OK and Joseph Beeler of Crowley, CO. Grandmother Joyce Flores of Crowley CO; brother Jamie DeTienne of Denver, CO; sister Joni Rousselle of Johnstown, CO; brother Randy Barnes of Shattuck, OK; sister Jennifer (Jake) Atchison of Loveland, CO; brother Kody Beeler of Crowley, CO and brother Marty Beeler of CO. He is predeceased by Maternal Grandparents Regina (Tonie) Shoopman; John (Bud) and (Wilma) Alberts; and paternal Grandparents Roy Beeler, and Pete Flores.
J.R. was employed by Cleary Building Corp in Scottsbluff at the time of his passing.
