Linda Kay Benson

Linda Kay Benson, age 69, of Northport, Florida, formerly of Scottsbluff, died October 14, 2015 at a nursing facility in Northport. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel with Reverend Jeff Fiet officiating. Inurnment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff. Kay was born March 19, 1946 in Scottsbluff to Ray and Elaine Otte. She attended and graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1964 and attended Scotts Bluff Junior College and Chadron State College. She was united in marriage to Ken Benson on August 26, 1965 in Scottsbluff. Ken and Kay lived in Scottsbluff and Omaha before relocating to Minnesota in 1976.

Kay was a dedicated mother and homemaker. She was an avid gardener, bowler, bridge partner and loved to cook.

Kay was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Scottsbluff.

Kay is survived by her husband Ken of Punta Gorda, FL; son and daughter-in-law Eric and Lisa Benson of Plainfield, IL; grandsons Greg and Chris; and brother and sister in law Donald & Jennifer Benson of Mesa, Arizona.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Steve Otte and Ray Otte Jr and grandson Paul Arlen Benson.
