Marie Elizabeth Wilson

Marie Elizabeth Wilson, 79, of Scottsbluff, died Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Golden Living Center in Scottsbluff. Visitation will be held from 2-7 PM on Tuesday at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel with the family being present from 4-7 PM. Her funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at WestWay Christian Church with Pastor Willie Coop officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Gering. Marie was born November 17, 1935 at Chadron, Nebraska to Earl Sylvester and Maude Elizabeth (Warren) Pace. She attended the Nebraska School for the Deaf in Omaha until 1956 when she returned to the Chadron area. She was united in marriage to Jerry Wilson on August 5, 1956 at the Assembly of God Church in Scottsbluff. The couple made their home in the Gering/Scottsbluff/Mitchell area where they raised their family.

Marie was a member of WestWay Christian Church and enjoyed word search puzzles, solitaire, and spending time with her family.

Marie is survived by her husband Jerry of Scottsbluff; daughters Dorothy (Jim) Sutphen of Papillion, NE and Ramona (Todd) Robertus of Omaha, NE; grandchildren Stephen Lacy of Scottsbluff, Heather (Dan) Campbell of Fairbanks, Alaska, Jamie (Tom) Horrocks of Stafford, VA, Ashley Kessler of Melbeta, and Jennifer Sutphen of Papillion; seven great-grandchildren; brother Joe (Laura) Pace of Chadron; sister Joanne (Dale) Moore of Douglas, WY; and nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, son Benjamin Earl Wilson, granddaughter Tina Jo Robertus, sister Frances Rumsey, and brother Thomas Pace.
