

Mary Kay Ogden, age 69, of Scottsbluff, passed away Friday, Feb. 27, 2015 at the Mitchell Care Center in Mitchell, Nebraska. At her request cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 2PM on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff with Pastor Curt Holzworth officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery in Sidney. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Mitchell Care Center. Mary was born August 31, 1945 at Denver, Colorado to Richard Seminoff and Eunice Fuehrer. She grew up in Peetz, Colorado, graduating from Peetz High School. She attended college at Scottsbluff Junior College before transferring to Sterling Junior College. Mary was united in marriage to Lee R. Ogden on April 4, 1965 at Peetz. The couple lived in Sidney before moving to Grand Island for Lee’s job. In 1983 they moved to North Platte and in 1989 to Scottsbluff.
Mary was employed by Brown’s Sheep Company for several years before retiring. She loved sports, especially New Orleans Saints football. Mary and Lee loved to travel, an opportunity they had frequently due to Lee’s work. They enjoyed touring the United States, making several trips to New Orleans, LA, and were also able to enjoy several cruises together. Mary and Lee would have celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary this April.
Mary was involved with the Compassionate Friends and Make A Wish. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and loved her pets.
Mary is survived by her loving husband Lee of Scottsbluff; son and daughter-in-law Travis and ReNae of North Platte; grandsons Tyler, Colton, and Drew all of North Platte; sister Nanci (Jim) Schilling of Sidney; nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
Mary was preceded in death by her son Tabor in 1986, her parents, her mother-in-law Sophie, whom she considered a second mother, and her father-in-law Edward.
