

Nancy J. Baker, 72, of Morrill, passed away March 16th Regional West Medical Center. She was cremated at her request and her memorial service will be Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Dugan-Kramer Chapel in Morrill with Pastor Carroll Plisek officiating. Nancy was born December 20, 1933 at Geneva, NE. She attended Geneva schools until 1949 when the family moved to Morrill. She was united in marriage to Thomas Sayre Baker Jne 9, 1954 at Morrill. The union was blessed with three children, Deborah, Richard and Shannon. Tom and Nancy pursued career opportunities in California, Colorado, and Missouri then returned to Morrill in 1974 where Tom managed The Golden Rule Store in Scottsbluff and Nancy worked at Jirdon Ag. Chemicals. Nancy then operated Granny’s Dollhouse from her home in Morrill until she and Tom opened Imagemakers Art and Frame in Scottsbluff. Nancy is survived by daughters Deb (Jim) Strauch of Morrill, Shannon Dyer of Longmont, CO, granddaughters Mackenzie (Tim) Wardyn of Morrill, Laura Kautz of Kearney, NE, Joslyn Dyer of Laramie, WY and Erin Dyer of Hyannis, NE, brothers and sisters-in-law William and Bonnie Baker of Morrill, Faith and Clayton Smith of Hot Springs, AR, Michael and Tiny Baker of Nixa, MO, sister Elveda (Ronald) Elznic of Lincoln, NE and the light of her life, great-grandson Isaac Wardyn. She was preceded in death by husband Tom, brothers Charles E. Montgomery, and her parents Monty and Fae Montgomery.
