Salena Kay Cochrane

Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 2, 2014, at the Rock Church in Scottsbluff with Pastors Bruce Peterson and Dave Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in the West Lawn Cemetery in Gering.

Salena was born August 21, 1996, at Longmont, Colorado to Dick Cochrane and Trisha Garcia. She attended Gering High School and Valts High School in Gering. Salena was an especially vibrant young woman filled with life. She was always on the go, always eager for life’s next adventure. Salena loved her family and friends. She was especially close to her grandparents, they adored her and she adored them.

Salena Kay “Bunny” is survived by her parents, Dick Cochrane and Trisha Garcia both of Gering; brother, Andrew Neal of Denver, Colorado; sisters, Karissa Cochrane of Gering and Andrea Neal of Omaha; stepbrothers, Little Wade and Eric Blue of Bayard; grandparents, Fred and Lucy Garcia of Gering, and the late Carl Sr. and Shirley Cochrane of Scottsbluff; aunts, Jacqueline (Jeromie) Ervin of Denver, Colorado; Joann Paramo of Scottsbluff; Cindy (Miquel) Alvarez of Scottsbluff, Mona (Alfredo) Cochrane of Texas, Imogene Cochrane of Scottsbluff, and Karen Cochrane of Scottsbluff; uncle, Fernando Garcia Jr., and his special friend, Vickie Walton of Mitchell; Carmelo (Phyllis) Blanco of Gering, Carl Jr. (Marcy) Cochrane of Limon, Colorado, Leonard Cochrane of Scottsbluff, and Jimmy Guzman; and numerous cousins that she loved deeply.

She was preceded in death by grandfather, Carl Cochrane Sr.; great-grandparents, Edward and Lucia Perez, Frank and Catharina Garcia, and Carmen Blanco.
