

Victor “Con” Gomez, 36, of Scottsbluff, died Sunday, November 6, 2016 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, November 11, 2016 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel with Father Michael McDonald officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-7 PM on Thursday, at Dugan-Kramer. At his request, cremation will follow funeral services. Memorial contributions may be given to the family. Con was born on November 6, 1980 to Rosie Chavez, at Torrington, Wyoming. He received his early education in Scottsbluff, where he graduated from the VALT’s program. After school, he went into the construction industry, working as a tradesman.
Con was a dedicated and committed father to his two sons, Elijah and Elias. He was a good mentor to his nieces and nephews. He was always dependable and helped when anyone needed help. Con was the “life of the party” and had just the right jokes for everything. He was a great person with a large heart. He enjoyed playing horseshoes and football with family and close friends. He was a huge Cowboys, Huskers, and Walking Dead fan. His best friend was his dog Fat Buddy and cat Asuna.
Con is survived by his two sons, Elijah and Elias; Rosie Chavez; mother Georgia Castillo; and many sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Ramon Castillo, cousins George “Bucky” Arriaga, grandfather Felix Martinez Gomez and his beloved dog Fat Buddy.
