

Wayne was born to parents CF (Mac) and Mae McIntosh on December 1, 1934. He was the youngest of four children. He attended school in Scottsbluff graduating in 1952. After high school, he attended Scotts Bluff College for a year. He married Shirley Fortner in 1958. While in high school, he started working for KNEB Radio where he worked in sales and was a newsman. He later became a partial owner until his retirement. During his career he also worked as a Police Judge in Scottsbluff and was a Justice of the Peace. He belonged to ToastMaster’s International in his younger years. He was a life long member of the First Baptist Church in Scottsbluff.
Wayne was an avid Husker football fan who rarely missed watching a game. He had many interests that kept him busy which included working crossword puzzles, reading, playing Free Cell on the computer, working in the yard, and wood working. He always enjoyed meeting up with friends for coffee during the afternoons. Some of his favorite past times were telling jokes and funny stories, and spending time with family and friends.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Shirley of Scottsbluff, daughter Cindy McIntosh and her husband Tim Barth of Longmont, CO, daughter Sherry McIntosh of Longmont, CO, sister in law Carol McIntosh of Scottsbluff, brother in law Ted Riblett of Lincoln, NE, granddaughter Chelsea Foose of Frederick, CO, one great grandchild, along with his nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robin who died at birth, brothers Dwight and Darrell, sister Mary Lou, and in laws Hugh and Maggie Fortner.
Per Wayne’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will not be a service. Friends may visit www.dugankramer.com to view Wayne’s Tribute wall and leave condolences for the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Friends of Dementia and Alzheimer’s (FAD) c/o Dugan-Kramer Funeral Home 3201 Avenue B Scottsbluff, NE 69361.
