Aline grew up with her 6 siblings in De Kalb where she went to school and met her future husband, Willis Andrew Widemon. The two married on his 18th birthday, July 3, 1943, in her hometown of De Kalb. Soon they would start a family, moving to Dallas to raise their children and for Aline to pursue her greatest joy in life, being a homemaker and caretaker.
When not taking care of her home or family, Aline loved to bowl and was always part of a weekly bowling league. She was also a devoted churchgoer and was the secretary for the Sunday school. She loved country music and spending time with her husband. They would garden, planting both flowers to beautify their home, and produce to feed their family. She also enjoyed picking the fruits of their labor, cooking with them, and often canning them. Aline's life was her family. She loved her kids and grandkids with her whole heart. No matter how she felt, her eyes would always light up the moment one of them came to visit.
Aline is survived by her children, Doris Mixon, Joyce Hathcock, Judy Newton, and Roy Widemon; her grandchildren, Randy Mixon, Rhonda Saulter (Robert), Steve Hathcock (Lenora), Laurie Browning, Kim Jones (Karl), Jason Newton, Shawn Newton; her great-grandchildren, Samantha Rios (Michael), Brayden Saulter, Kyle Hathcock (Amber), Keven Hathcock (Arianne), Kollin Hathcock, Luke Bernard, Rheyanna Jones; and great-great-grandchildren, Zoey Rios, Finn Rios, and Ryan Hathcock.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Linnie Taylor; her loving husband of 62 years Willis Andrew Widemon; her siblings, Louise Sturdivant, Thelma "Auntie" Jenkins, Opal Farrar, Mary Widemon, C.P. Taylor, Pete Taylor; her sons-in-law, Ronnie Mixon, Travis Hathcock, Raymond Newton; and her daughter-in-law, Mary Widemon.
