Alyssa Jo Mayes

Alyssa Jo Mayes of Irving, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. Alyssa will always be remembered as a loving mom, daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend to all that new and loved her.

Alyssa was born January 31, 2001, in Irving, Texas, to father Ronald Mayes and mother Vicktoria Carter. She was the perfect 7 pound 6 ounce baby girl and just as beautiful as can be and stubborn as hell all the way. She just turned 21 and had her whole life ahead of her she was just getting started. Alyssa had the biggest heart, there was nothing that she wouldn't do to put a smile on someone's face. She could walk into a room with that big smile of hers and light up any dull space. there will never be another soul like hers. She was most definitely one of a kind and will be incredibly missed by so many.

Alyssa is survived by her mother, Vicktoria Carter of Dallas, Texas; father, Ronald Mayes of Grapevine, Texas; daughter, Tori Jo and her father Sonny Austin of Grapevine, Texas; her brother Kristopher " Bubby" Mayes of Dallas, Texas; sisters, Jennifer Dawn Mayes of Grapevine, Texas, Brandy Mayes of Grapevine, Texas, and Tiffany Mayes of Columbus, Ohio. She is also survived by her grandmother, "Nana" Vickie Carter and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends whom she loved and cherished.

She was preceded in death by her grandpa, James Carter; aunt, Sheri Robinson; great grandmother, Thelma Atwood; grandfather, Mitchell Mayes; aunts Pamela Rodgers, Brenda Mayes, and nephew Justin Monroe Fults.

A visitation for Alyssa will be held Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home followed by a funeral service.
