"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now lie in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." - Galatians 2:20
Donald Duane Treadwell, devoted husband, beloved father and grandfather, trusted friend, Bible teacher, and faithful servant of Jesus Christ entered into the glorious presence of his Lord and Savior on January 23, 2025. He was born to Maurice and Winona Treadwell in Clovis, New Mexico on February 11, 1948. Being the son of missionaries, he grew up in Brazil, New Mexico, and Panama. This planted the seed for a life of Christian service. While attending Howard Payne University, he met the love of his life, Kathryn, and they were married on November 25, 1969. Following college, he attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and graduated with a Master of Divinity Degree in 1974. Their family was completed when God blessed them with two children: Kari and Josh.
Don's ministry reflected the message of his life verse, Galatians 2:20. He taught and lived by example the truth that the was indeed dead to sin and that Christ was alive in him. God used Don in various ministries sharing this teaching. He pastored seven churches, led weekly Bible studies in two prisons, and taught computer science in three Christian schools. God used him to influence many lives for Christ and His Kingdom.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Winona Treadwell; brother, Charles Treadwell; and sister, Barbara Sena. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Treadwell; daughter, Kari Craft and husband, James; son, Joshua Treadwell and wife, Carrie; sister, Jeannie Davis and husband, Richard.
