Donny Paul Brown

Donny Paul, born July 2, 1934 to Paul Brown and Vassie Hooks, born and raised in Como, Texas and passed away July 7, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. “Papaw” celebrated his 80th birthday last Thursday. He retired from Safeway as a truck driver after 30+ years and co-founded B&B Concrete with his son Ronny. He was a Master Mason at Dallas Lodge 760. Papaw was an avid dog lover and spent the last years of his life with his buddies Jay and Lucky. He enjoyed taking care of his home place and riding around on his golf cart. He also loved his many adventures in his motor home and donating his money to the casinos. He is survived by son and daughter-in –law Donny & Shirley Brown of Crandall Texas, son and daughter- in- law Ronny & Twana Brown of Tool Texas, and son Ricky Brown of Dallas Texas; 10 grand children, Chad Fulcher and wife Kim, Eric Fulcher and fiancé Julie, Scotty Brown and wife Makiala, Glenna Bradshaw and husband Steven, Damon Brown and wife Stacy, Jamon Brown and wife Randi, Kori Vessels and husband Kelly, Shannon Sewell, Tawnee Prestridge and husband Blake, and MagAnn Brown; and 28 Great Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; love of his life and wife Janie Sue Brown of 48 years; wife, Lois McCommas Brown of 7 years; 4 brother, Bobby Brown, Larry Brown, Alvin Moss, Calvin Moss and 3 sisters, Paula Stinson, Janie Cavanaugh, and Virginia Preheim. Pallbearers will be his grandsons Scotty, Damon, Jamon, Eric, Blake, Steven, Kelly and Blaine. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Wednesday July 9th, 2014 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday July 10, 2014 at Roselawn Funeral Home.
