Dorothy Laverne Church

She passed away on September 12, 2023.

Dorothy grew up in the Small community of Shady Grove, Texas and attended Grand Prairie Schools. She graduated Grand Prairie High School in 1979.

Dorothy married Ronald (Ron) Church on October 5th, 1979. Together they had 2 beautiful daughters: Dane Marie Church and Lisa Maria Church.

Dorothy loved to laugh. She was the comedian of the family; always quick with “zingers” and “one liners”.

She also had a green thumb and had the most beautiful house plants. Dorothy loved to gamble on the slot machines and never missed the opportunity to go to the Casino. She was also a very lucky person when she gambled. She collected Elephant figurines (always with the trunk up for good luck). Her favorite color was purple. More than anything, she loved her grandchildren: Shane and Lex.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her father, Clifford Thomas Ingram; mother, Doris Ingram Slovak; and sisters, Donna Pennington and Darla Gollihugh.

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 44 years Ron Church; her daughters, Dane Reasonover, Lisa Noble and her husband Heath Noble; and 2 grandsons, Shane Noble and Lex Noble; her brother, Andrew Ingram; sister, Debra Nystrom; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
