

Edna was born in Ysleta, Texas, to Richard and Frances Mae Keays. She and her four siblings grew up near El Paso where she would attend school before beginning her journey into motherhood, welcoming her first son Ronald in 1964.
Edna eventually made her way to Dallas where she worked at Metropolitan Christian Academy as a preschool teacher. She later went on to enter the world of banking as a funding manager.
While living in Dallas, Edna met her sweetheart, Lewis Edward Curtis. The two would welcome two more children children, rounding out their family.
Edna had a great love for gardening and tending to her plants. She enjoyed spending time outdoors amongst her flowers. She also had an immense love for her family.
Preceding Edna in death were her parents, Richard Keays and Frances Mae Troup Keays; her beloved husband, Lewis Edward Curtis; her daughter, Suzanne Curtis-Nolen; and her sister, Anna Belle Hanrahan.
Left to cherish in her memory are her sons, Ronald Kresge and wife Brenda, Michael Curtis and wife Kim; grandchildren, Adam Kresge and wife Hollie, Lauren Curtis and husband Treston Rash, Clayton Curtis, and Garrett Nolen; great-grandchildren, Colt and Peyton Rash; her siblings, Mary Elshout and husband Jerry, Andy Smithson and wife Denise, and Kathy Wilson, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and loving friends
