JoAnn was born on December 8, 1932, in Irving, Texas, and grew up in the West Dallas area. From an early age, her greatest dream was simple and heartfelt: to marry, build a loving home and raise a family. She fulfilled that dream when she married the love of her life Joel Ruffos Moore on April 29, 1950. Together, they began building a life centered on faith, love, and family, welcoming their first son the following year.
JoAnn was a devoted wife and mother whose proudest accomplishments were found within her home. She took great pride in being a Christian example to her husband and children, and nothing brought her greater joy than watching her sons grow into the men they became. She was deeply committed to being the very best wife and mother she could be and her love for her family was evident in all that she did.
Beyond her devotion to family, JoAnn and Joel shared a love for travel, especially trips to Colorado and the South Texas Valley. Some of their happiest memories were made on road trips with their closest friends, filled with laughter and adventure.
JoAnn had a joyful spirit and loved country western dancing. She could often be found each week at Forty Niners and A Bella Vita in Seagoville, dancing the night away. She was incredibly talented with sewing and crochet, enjoyed working puzzles and loved cooking for her family. JoAnn was known for her southern cooking. She found great joy working in her yard and garden where her beautiful flowers and remarkable green thumb were admired by all who knew her. She especially enjoyed shopping and fondly remembered her time working at Donovan Galvini Incorporated, a sewing factory. She dearly loved her sweet puppy, Mitzi, who loved her many sweaters.
A proud and faithful Christian, JoAnn was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church in Crandall where she worshipped faithfully for more than 30 years.
JoAnn is survived by her sons, Ricky Joel Moore and wife Stacy Lynn, Michael Ray Moore and wife Susie, and Johnny Earl Moore and wife Darlene; her beloved daughter-in-law, Sandra Moore; and her cherished grandchildren: Chad Moore, Matthew Brent Moore, Carley Joelle Turner and husband Phillip, Christie Ann Werking and husband Nathan, Michael Ray Moore Jr. and wife Stephanie, Hannah Michelle Phillips and husband Ricky, Shelley DeAnn Frazier and husband Cody, Danny Paul Moore and wife Mindi, Elishia Darlene Scott and husband Brandon, Elizabeth “Beth” JoAnn Bodiford and husband Cody, Paula Jean Sloan and husband Drew, and Nancy Diane Wade and husband Dustin.
She was also blessed to be “Granny” to her beloved great-grandchildren: Joshua Moore, Jackson Moore, Kendall Turner, Elias Werking, Ocean Werking, Elythia Werking, Carter Moore, Grace Moore, Lane Frazier, Morgan Frazier, Brayson Moore, Brody Moore, Breelyn Moore, Harper Scott, Leighton Scott, Baylen Bodiford, Bryer Bodiford, Reese Sloan, Cal Sloan, Kash Houston, Gage Wade, and Jayden Wade.

JoAnn will always be remembered as a loving Mama, devoted Granny, treasured Wife, Sister, and faithful Friend. Her life was a beautiful example of love, devotion and steadfast faith. The memories she created will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
