Mrs. Francisca C. Martinez

Francisca C. Martinez (67) went home to the Lord on February 5, 2016. She was born in McAllen, Texas on December 3, 1948 to Enrique Castillo and Eduarda Martinez. She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one brother. Left with cherished memories is her daughter Linda Bryant & husband James of Jacksonville, Florida; daughter Martha Elena Mena & husband Martin of Mesquite, Texas; daughter Blanca Estella Tijerina & husband Armando of Grand Prairie, Texas; son Martin Martinez of Mesquite, Texas and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family loved ones and beloved friends including her four legged children Gizmo, Guero and Jimmy. After graduating from El Centro College, Francisca taught in the DISD for 30 years. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She enjoyed family gatherings cooking and caring for her family. She also enjoyed knitting, and working in her flower garden tending to her roses. Francisca was a little girl at heart who loved to collect dolls, beanie babies, coins and music. The family will except friends at a visitation 12:00pm (noon) to 4:00pm Monday February 8, 2016 at Roselawn Funeral Home Seagoville, Texas. No services are scheduled at this time.
