Henry proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and later became a Major in the Brown Berets, advocating for the rights of others in Big Spring, Texas, and the surrounding communities. He was known for his warm spirit, never meeting a stranger, and for the deep love he held for his family.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Cynthia Menchaca; his children, Jose Carlos Hilario, Benjamin Hilario, Teresa Margarita Cole, and David Henry Menchaca; his sisters, Susie and Gloria Menchaca; and his brother, Ishmael Rodriguez.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Cecelia Menchaca; his sister, Olga Menchaca; and his brothers, Carlos Fierro, Joe Rodriguez, and Willie Menchaca Jr.
No words can describe how much this man will be missed by everyone who knew him. He had a heart of gold and we will miss him very much
