

James Russell Hartman went home to be with the Lord on April 14, 2017. He was born in South Plains, Texas on August 20, 1938 to Harry Russell and Mamie Lou (Jarigan) Hartman. He is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife Mary Hartman. Left with treasured memories is his grandson Robert Campbell & wife Tina; brothers, Charles Hartman and Robert Hartman; sister, Winnie Youngquest; great granddaughter, Jacqui Joseph & husband Michael; great grandchildren, Shane and Chase Noren and great grandchild Kenna Campbell; nephew Charles Hartman Jr.; grandnephews Charles and Cory; grandniece, Abby Graff and numerous nieces, nephews and other family loved ones and beloved friends. James worked many years as a heavy equipment operator, mostly working dragline. He became so efficient at dragline he could out load other operators 3 loads to 1. James faithfully served his country with honor in the United States Army. He enjoyed fishing and occasionally would hunt a pig. He enjoyed tinkering and could fix just about anything. James enjoyed the company of family and friends. He loved them all dearly. The family would like to thank his very special friends J.T. and Charles for just being there for James. The family will receive friends at a visitation 6-8 pm Wednesday April 19, 2017 at Roselawn Funeral Home, Seagoville, Texas. Funeral Service will be Thursday April 20, 2017 at the Funeral Home. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Seagoville, Texas will follow the service. James will be laid to rest beside his wife Mary in the Garden of Scriptures. Military Honors will be rendered. Brother Al Taylor will officiate.
