That same year, he married his first wife, Sammie Johnson Koller, and together they welcomed six beautiful children over the next twelve years, until her passing in 1969. Life later led Mickey to love again when he met Glenda Beth Prince. A natural entrepreneur with a tireless work ethic, Mickey built a successful career in construction. He first operated a rentals company off Highway 175 and later founded K&S Utility Contractors in Seagoville, which he owned and operated for more than 40 years.
Outside of work, Mickey lived life fully and joyfully. He played fast-pitch softball, enjoyed fishing, and was an avid hunter who even traveled out of state for big-game hunts. He was also a proud hobby cattleman, raising cattle and growing hay simply for the love of tending his herd. A lifelong Catholic, Mickey most recently attended St. Augustine Parish in Dallas and St. Martin of Tours in Talty.
Mickey was welcomed into Heaven by his Lord and shepherd, Jesus Christ, along with his parents, James Milo and Ruth Pauline Koller; his first wife, Sammie Koller; his siblings, Barbara Tucker and William Koller; his granddaughter, Robin Koller Peterson; and his sons-in-law, Gary Rogers and Billy Toyler.
