It has been a year since I lost you.  I still can't believe you are gone and I will never see your smiling face. I know you are in a much better place and you are at peace walking with the angels.  Give MoM a hug for me and the two of you behave.  Keep watching over your family.  Miss you so much

I am so saddened to see this. Ive been looking for jeff for several yrs.
I first met him walking down the street and he was working on his car, they had just moved into the neighborhood. That started a good friendship.. Fast forward he went into Army few months before me. While at basic i went to church and we kept looking at each other and finally we recognized each other and had a great laugh... I so wish i could get in touch with him. If someone from family could get in touch i would really like to talk about the time he spent at Ft. McClellan... Dwall1205@cableone.net

Jeff used to say that family was the most important thing in life. I didn't understand that until he was gone.  He taught me a lot of things from checking the fluids in my car to shooting a gun to making sure I had all the tools I needed to everything in between so I could make it as a single woman.  He just didn't prepare me for the loss of Grams and then him. 
He was a gruff, sarcastic, bull headed teddy bear of a man to the people he truly loved.  And I will never hear him say "what? " in an annoyed voice when I called him ever again.  He was taken far too soon from this earth.
I like to think that he is with Grams watching over us. I will miss you dreadfully and love you forever.

For 47 years I had the honor and privilege of calling him my big brother. I cannot remember a time without him in my life. From the time I came home from the hospital, he was there by my side, looking out for me. Whether it was cutting my hair because I didn't get to go with him to the barber or teaching me how to ride my bike, he was there. To making sure that I didn't get "too close" to the cottonmouths in the creek to showing me how to stand up for myself to showing my where my thumb went when I threw a punch, he was there for me. He did all the things you want your big brother to do and more. He was my mentor. He taught me sass (much to Mom's dismay), how to be quick witted, and how to always think for myself. He taught me about boys and always made sure that they respected me (even if that required a locker) and how to know when they weren't. I always knew that I could call if I needed anything and he knew how to calm me down to think straight. He stood by me through all of the downs and held my hand and cheered me through all of the ups. He was the best uncle to Sophia that I could have ever asked for. Fortunately she has some memories of him. Not a lot but enough. 
Life will never be the same without a big brother. My big brother.

My father was an amazing man. Strong. Funny. Smart. Sarcastic. Quick witted. Always willing to help those he loved on the drop of a dime. No matter the time of day he would help. I cant tell you how many times I would call him at odd hours of the night just to ask a question or to talk and he would pick up the phone every single time. When I was going through hard times he was always there to talk or to listen..... and I miss that. I miss his voice, his sarcastic comments, his corny dad jokes...I miss him telling me he loved me and that he was proud of me. I don't think I'll ever stop missing that...even over time. You never  realize how good something is until it's gone. I wish we had more time together...29 years isnt nearly enough time. But I will cherish the time I had with him, adore and love the brother he gave me, and I'll keep his memories alive with the people who hear his stories. I will make sure he is never forgotten. I miss him. Every single day. And I'll never forget all that he taught me. None of us will. I miss you Dad and I love you very much. The road goes ever on and on, back to the door from where it began, we'll see each other again, I know we will. 

Jeff, was such a strong man & he never complained!!!! He worked so hard to provide for his loving wife Tonya & amazing son JJ. He left them way to soon !!!! But because of him we will all be better people . We miss you & love you always !!!🤗😘 Your in-laws Jan & Jim
