Jerry L Tomlinson

He was the husband of Maureen (Houston) Tomlinson. The couple would have celebrated their 48th Wedding Anniversary on September 21, 2022.

Born in Camden, AR, he was the son of the late John Mitchell Tomlinson, and Vina Marie (Lacy) Tomlinson. He was a 1960 graduate of Fairview High School, in Camden, AR. Jerry had three older siblings, Sharlie, Don and Mary Ella. He had one younger sister, Marie. Jerry was a quiet boy who loved to fish. He was an extremely hard worker who started working at the age of 16, as a butcher for Safeway Grocery. Jerry and his siblings lived on a farm in Arkansas where their father raised chickens and rabbits.

After moving to Dallas, Jerry worked for 20+ years at IEC Electric Company, Incorporated as purchasing agent and warehouse supervisor. After LEG dissolved in 1977, Jerry became the warehouse and sales manager for Valley Forge, where he spent approximately 10 years. Having only three jobs an adult, Jerry retired from Williams & Davis, in Hutchins, TX at the age of 65. in 2007.

Surviving with his wife are their two daughters, Misty Lynn and her husband Ron, and Bobbi Gail and her husband Ryan; seven grandchildren, Ryan and Morgan Blackburn, Samuel, Maxwell and Abigail Maureen Furst, also including Gamble Intchauspe, and one great-grandchild, Presley Rose Blackburn
