

Jim was raised in Irving, Tx, and graduated from Irving High School in 1964. After graduation, Jim enlisted in the US Marine Corps and served from August 1969 until he transferred to the Marine Reserves in October 1972 where he would remain a reservist until 1975. Jim served in Vietnam and was awarded the rank of sergeant while in the service.
Prior to his enlistment, Jim married Tamara Panter in 1967. They had 2 daughters, Autumn and April, and would later separate. Jim went on to have his youngest daughter, Amber. In 1988, he married his love, Louise Hall and they would spend 36 beautiful years together as a blended family.
Jim was very proud of his work with D&R Saw and Tools as a salesman for more than 25 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed his own woodworking. He was a master craftsman and builder of any and all things. He loved camping, reading, going to his grandkids ball games, and fishing in the pond on his property.
His friends and family will always remember him as a loving Husband, Daddy, Papa, Brother and friend.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Louise Hall Wheat; daughters Autumn Wheat, April Nohinek and husband John, Amber Eagle and husband Jeffery; additional children, Christy Renee Hall and Jason Ray Hall; Grandchildren, John Cooper Nohinek, William Luke Nohinek, Natalie Wheat Nohinek, Claire Coolidge Nohinek, Leo Eagle, Lucy Eagle, Jack Emmett Hall, Jacob Elliot Hall, and Jason Evan Hall; his sisters Charlotte Consiglio and Nancy Miller, along with his beloved pups, Rusty and Harry (Potter).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Norris Wheat and Pauline Evagene Rothmeyer Wheat and his brother, Henry "Norris" Wheat.
