Larry Gene Stevens

He was born on April 15, 1945, to Joe Bob and Valerie Stevens in Winnsboro, Texas.

Larry worked as a carpenter contractor, first working for his father and eventually owning his own business. He served in the army in Vietnam from 1967-1968.

He married Eugenia Sims on August 7, 1964 and they had two sons, Lonnie and Dale.

Larry loved motors and during his life might be found racing motorcycles or under the hood restoring a motor alongside family or friends. His greatest passion being racing, in recent years he got as much joy watching his grandson behind the wheel as being there himself. He also loved fishing and hunting, his favorite companions being family whether out hunting or in a boat on the lake.

Larry is survived by wife Eugenia Stevens, son Lonnie and wife Karen, son Dale and wife Amy, grandchildren Courtney Williamson and husband Jared, Rebecca, Dalton and wife Allison, three great-grandchildren Jase, Casyn, and Hadley, sister Pam Cooksey and husband Browny and his mother Valerie Stevens.

He was preceded in death by his father Joe Bob Stevens.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home, 1000 S Highway 175, Seagoville, TX 75159.

A funeral service will be held Friday, June 16, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 1000 S Highway 175, Seagoville, TX 75159.
