Lois Louise (Epperson) Cagle Armstrong, age 96, of Highland Village, Texas passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all that knew and loved her.
Lois was born February 20, 1926 in Leagueville, Texas to Robert L. Epperson and Laura A. Williams Epperson.
Lois most of all loved the Lord, and her family. She began her family at the young age of 20, after meeting Willard Cagle in Tyler, Texas where they would be married December 28, 1944. Together they would go on to have 5 children, moving and raising them in Houma, LA. They spent 37 amazing years together until his passing in November of 1982.
Lois would continue to live in Houma, where she met her second husband, Roy Richard Armstrong. They married July 21, 1990 in Houma. Together they would move to Pearland, Texas, just outside of Houston, where they would live happily together until his passing in November of 2019.
In recent years Lois moved up from Houston to the Dallas area, living with her children in Highland Village, Texas.
She had hobbies of baking, cooking, studying her family genealogy, spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and spreading the word of her Lord. She was proudest of her kids and grandkids and being able to teach them about God’s love and the ability to trust in Him for everything.
Lois was a strong woman. She was a homemaker for many years, spending her time taking care of the family home and the needs of her family. After her children were grown, she decided to take the opportunity to work outside the home, going out to receive her high school GED at the age of 56, and then her real estate license.
She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and The Order of the Eastern Star. She was extremely active in First Baptist Church of Houma, Louisiana for 35 plus years. Later she became active in Pearland, Texas at Epiphany Lutheran Church with her husband Richard.
Lois is survived by her loving children and their spouses, Carole Cagle Collins and husband Doug, Michael Wayne Cagle and wife Eileen, Willard Stephen Cagle and wife Marr Shan, and Kimberly Cagle.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Stanley James Cantrelle Jr., Robyn Elizabeth Gunderson, Sarah Pittman and husband Marcus, Chad Israel Cagle and wife Stashia, Christopher Michael Cagle and wife Leigh Ann, Jonathan David Cagle and wife Laura Scott Bell, Dallas Stephen Cagle and wife Hanna, Matthew Jordan Cagle, and Megan Elisabeth Cagle; 11 great grandchildren; her brother, Ed Epperson, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and loving friends.
