Mr Love wa a a legend to the city of Seagoville. He was very special and dear to me. He helped our Broncos football team raise money for the team and came to several of the games. He will forever hold a place in my heart....

I met Mr. Love back in the 80’s when my husband Dennis joined the Seagoville Volunteer Firefighters. We worked SVFD garage sales together and you had to work hard to keep up with him. Then once we moved our business to Seagoville we were on his radar for any and every SYSA donation program not to mention when he came collecting for the Chamber of Commerce. Then we served together at the Seagoville Sunset Lions Club for years. I always knew at the annual Christmas party I would go home with a gift to enjoy because Mr. Love always had Boo ( his date) pick up my favorite wine for the exchange. He also never forgot me at Christmas when he would bring to my office a box of Chocolate covered cherries and the biggest candy cane ever. Mr. Love definitely had a servants heart and he could literally get blood out of a turnip when it came to collecting for a cause he believed in. He was One of a Kind and will be greatly missed not just by me but by our city as a whole. 
My deepest sympathies for his family at their loss. 

Not only were we neighbors across the alley way, Leon and my Daddy served together on the Seagoville Volunteer Fire Dept for many years. All of us kids were close in age too. I have a lot of precious memories shared with our families.  But this one funny story was when my Daddy hears Carol Yell from her backyard,  Charlie Snake!!!  My Daddy grabs a hoe or shovel and heads to the Loves Backyard to kill the snake. Ponds all around so we had cotton mouths or water moccasins  from time to time. Daddy kills the snake... But Where's  Leon?  Leon was inside the screened porch waiting for my Daddy, Charlie, to kill the snake. Lol There were always a lot of laughs between these guys. 
Leon Love will always be a special person to so many of us and our hometown community.

Leon was such a wonderful and good person.  I am proud to be able to call him a friend.  He did so very much for Seagoville.  In all the time that I was blessed to be his friend, he was working for the Youth Association, the Lions Club, the Lions Sight and Tissue Foundation, Volunteering for the Police Department, church or some team.  He was a very kind, and generous man.  I love him and I will miss him.  His family and friends are Blessed.  Rest in Peace my friend.  Love you Leon.

Leon was one in a million. He was loved and respected by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He has touched so many lives and I don’t have any memories of the years spent with SYSA that don’t include him. He will be missed for sure. May he Rest In Peace and May God bring peace and comfort to his family🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I have never met a more respected man than Leon Love.  I always thought of Leon as "Mr. Seagoville" because he did so very much for  our city.   Seagoville has lost a rare treasure!   Rest in Peace, Leon.  Thank you for your decades of dedicated service to the City of Seagoville and her citizens.  You will surely be missed.

Leon was a very special man. He will be greatly missed by all. Always had a kind word and big smile on his face.

Leon was a great encourager and inspiration of what servanthood was all about. He gave and shared his life with so many. I am glad to have know a man of great enthusiasm with the many hats he wore. Enjoyed serving with him in the Seagoville Sunset Lions Club. Leon, you will truly be missed. Condolences and prayers  to his family❤️
