Mrs. Nora Bell Aven

Nora Bell Aven 77 of Flint, Texas went home to the Lord on June 21, 2015. She was born in Dallas, Texas on July 10, 1937 to Walter Hamilton Dearick and Minnie Lee Wheat Dearick. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister Helen Marie; brother Clifford Henry; sister Betty Jean and son Richard Dean Fair. Left with cherished memories to treasure is her loving husband Jerry Prince Aven; daughter Jinny Fair Marlow; son Don Christian Fair; daughter Euginia Joy Fair Heart; son Charles Ray Fair; daughter Cindie Whittle; son Randy Aven; son Gary Aven; bother Jimmy Ray Dearick; brother Robert Hamilton Dearick; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and host of other family loved ones and beloved friends. Nora enjoyed art and like to paint scenic pictures of mountains, flowers and other landscapes. She was an Avid baker. She was very skilled at baking and decorating cakes. She was also a wonderful cook. Family members especially enjoyed her shepherd pie. Nora had a beautiful smile. She never met a stranger and always available to help others. She always put others before herself. She was a giver and not a taker. She is loved dearly by all and will be greatly missed. A service to celebrate Nora’s life will be 2:00pm Friday June 26, 2015 at Roselawn Funeral Home, Seagoville, Texas. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens where she will be laid to rest in The Garden of Roses. Pastor Dustin Slaton officiating.
