

He was born in Bristol, Tennessee to his parents Clarence and Elsie Jackson and was the youngest of eight children. His mother passed only four months after he was born, leaving his older sisters to care for him until he was two years old. His father remarried and had four more children, growing the family to a total of twelve.
They lived on a farm, growing tobacco and raising hogs, chickens, and a few milk cows, living off the land. Ronnie went to school and worked on the farm until, at age 16, his father passed away. This caused Ronnie to leave the farm and begin working at a small restaurant, until at age 18, when he joined the Marine Corps to serve our country. He got married and had two children, but they separated and he moved to Texas to pursue better work opportunities.
In Texas, Ronnie met his beloved wife of 56 years, Linda. She had three boys of a previous marriage, and they later had one daughter together, blending the family.
Ronnie was a House Framer Foreman, working in construction for many years. He retired at age 55 and pursued landscaping until he fully retired at age 62.
Ronnie loved to care for his vegetable garden, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, and adored road trips and visiting casinos with his wife, Linda. He was an Elk and made many wonderful friends at his local lodge. Ronnie was proud to have served in the Marine Corps in his youth, and his love for this country was only second to the love he had for his family.
He is preceded in death his parents Elsie and Clarence Jackson, his son Richard Harrison, and seven siblings plus two half-siblings.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda Jackson; his children, Ronald Jackson Jr. and wife Tammy, Sherry Crusenberry, Bobby Harrison Jr.,Timothy Harrison and wife Melinda, and daughter Rhonda Deegan and husband Michael; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two half-sisters, Estell and Edna Potts and husband Ken; as well as multiple nieces and nephews.
Ronnie was known as a great husband, father, papa, friend, and neighbor. All those who knew him will miss him dearly.
